28.1 Postponements and Abandonments
28.1.1 If an event is postponed prior to commencement not rescheduled to commence within 7 days of the original start date all markets will be void with stakes refunded.
28.1.2 After an event commences all bets will stand for the duration of the ‘competition window’ as designated by the World Surf League. This includes all Outright Markets and all 2 Board / 3 Board markets.
28.1.3 If an event is postponed beyond the original designated ‘competition window’ as designated by the World Surf League all bets will stand if the competition is
rescheduled to recommence within 7 days of the original last designated day of the
competition window.
28.1.4 If an event is postponed beyond the original designated ‘competition window’ as designated by the World Surf League and rescheduled to recommence 8 days or more after the last day of the original competition window all markets will be void, other than those where the result of the market has already been determined, if the competition is rescheduled to recommence within 7 days of the original last designated day of the competition window.
28.1.5 If an event is officially abandoned by the World Surf League after commencement and no winner is declared all markets, other than those where the
result has already been determined, will be void with all stakes refunded.
28.2 Resulting & Settlement of Markets
28.2.1 All markets other than Olympic markets will be settled as per the official results
and statistics published by the World Surf League via their official website https://www.worldsurfleague.com/
28.3 Maximum Payouts
Outright Markets - £10,000
2 board and 3 board markets - £5,000
Markets
28.4 Outright/Ante-Post Markets
28.4.1 You are betting on the selected surfer to win the Event, Make The Final or
progress furthest in the event in the case of Group Betting markets.
28.4.2 Bets on surfers who take no part in the event will be void with stakes refunded. Deductions may apply.
28.4.3 Outright/Ante-Post bets on a surfer who loses in the qualifying rounds will be
settled losers.
28.5 To Make the Final Markets
28.5.1 You are betting on the selected surfer to make the final.
28.5.2 Bets on surfers who take no part in the event will be void with stakes refunded. Deductions may apply.
28.5.3 To make the Final bets on a surfer who loses in the qualifying rounds will be
settled losers.
28.6 2 Board/3 Board Markets
28.6.1 You are betting on the selected surfer to win the heat.
28.6.2 All bets stand once all surfers have started the heat.
28.6.3 If 1 or more surfers do not start the heat then all bets on the heat will be void.
28.6.4 All bets stand regardless of the length of delay / lay days or change of venue.
28.6.5 In the event of a heat being re surfed after it has finished, bets will be resulted on the surfer who is deemed the winner of the re surfed heat according to the official result as declared by the governing body.
28.6.6 In the event of 2 or more surfers finish with the same score, then the tie is broken as follows:
(1) by comparing the highest single wave score of each surfer;
(2) if the tie persists, by comparing the second-highest single wave score of each surfer (and continuing down the list of single wave scores of each surfer until the tie is broken);
(3) if the tie persists, then the surfers compete in a Surf-off with the highest score prevailing, unless the tie is zero, in which case the surfers’ seeding rank determines who advances;
(4) and noting that, if the head judge decides there were no rideable waves, the
Commissioner's Representative (for CT Events) or WSL Tour Representative (for non-CT Events) can choose to re-run the heat.
